Nine In The Pond

Experience level - beginner

I designed this quilt originally in 2005 as a way to use nine patches that I'd received from the Canadian Quilt Swappers internet yahoo group. This was in the days before Facebook groups or blogging or instagram. It was originally shared as a Mystery Quilt with the members of that group who were doing the Nine Patch Swap. It has since been shared with several guilds as a part of their programs, involving swapping nine patches and doing the quilt as a mystery at the same time. It is time for this quilt to go public. It looks complex, but is made out of large, easy to make individual units. It is the setting that gives the overall complex look. The quilt used, with consent, in the photos was made by my good friend, Charlene O'Donnell.
